NYC Public Hospitals Response to Covid April 2020

Health and Hospitals, the Public Hospitals of NYC, has asked John to document their response to the Covid Pandemic.  By April 2020 NYC had been hit hard by the virus. Emergency rooms were packed with stretchers lining the hallways and all available space on all floors had been converted to Intensive Care Units. Nurses and doctors were working 16 hour shifts 7 days a week fighting an enemy that little was known about.  They were sleeping, if they slept at all,  in their basements or garages to protect their families. Each night at 7pm New Yorkers came to their windows and stoops to sing and bang pots to show their appreciation for these heroes of health care. See more at https://nychealthheroes.com
